The kitty bowl vs. the puppy bowl....
Well "Big game" is just around the corner. The puppies have the puppy bowl on animal planet and now the kitties the kitty bowl on the Hallmark channel. Here is the link to the story. http://www.ktar.com/23/1803219/Hallmark-Channels-Kitten-Bowl-teams-vie-for-purring-rights

The "BIG GAME" is coming..... Need service before your party?
Well the Super bowl is just around the corner. There are some people who want nothing to do with this sporting event. For those of you who don't enjoy this event, there is the puppy bowl on the Animal planet. I have not seen it before but it looks cute. I will be watching the game myself but there are other options for those that won't be. Below is a link to the puppy bowl info.http://www.abc15.com/news/news-photo-gallery/2015-animal-planet-pupper-bowl-meet-the-starting-line-up If you have any pest or wildlife issues and need them resolved before the "BIG GAME" there is still plenty of time to schedule an appointment. Don't wait until the last minute to get that bee issue resolved or that ant problem on the back patio taken care of. If you wait until the day before the game it may be to late. Call us at 480-984-2660 or find us on the web at www.ourbugguy.com or www.azcrittergetter.com . Time for me to run..... Be sure to "keep the sunblock on" Critter OUT!

Seal it up and keep them out
Well, I couldn't find anything in the news today about critters. So I figured I will mention that we install chimney caps and provide seal up and exclusion services. Most homes are built with a few gaps, cracks and crevices'. In most cases we are able to locate those openings and seal them off. We are able to exclude critters from being able to enter in to your home or attic. If you think you may have an unwanted guest getting into your home, give us a call. We can trap the critter and then seal up the access points. Typically we find roof rats, pack rats, squirrels, and raccoons getting in to the attic space. Once in a while it turns out to be a ringtail or some other critter. You can find us on the web at www.azcrittergetter.com or www.ourbugguy.com You can also call us at 480-984-2660. Well I have to run now. Got some critter getting to do! "keep the sunblock on" and have a great day! Critter OUT!

We have had some odd pets but never an alligator. Lets see, we have had snakes, lizards, hamsters, Madagascar hissing cockroaches, scorpions, tarantulas, turtles, fish, whip scorpions, frogs and of course mans best friend.

You found a snake where?
This time of year we really don't get to many snake calls. We do snake removal in Scottsdale, in Mesa and Phoenix on a regular basis. We remove snakes from all over the valley. Snakes are just about everywhere out here. We tend to find most of them in our clients yards. Sometimes we find snakes on the porch or in the garage. Once in a while we even find snakes in a house but never in a toilet. Recently a woman in California found one coming out of the toilet. That would be kind of crazy if you ask me but rats can come out of toilets so why not snakes I guess? Here is a link to the story if you want check it out.
http://www.abc15.com/news/boa-constrictor-slithers-out-of-toilet . We remove all types of critters. From snakes and skunks to rodents and bees. We are your one stop critter getter shop. If you need pest control in Mesa, Pest control in Gilbert or Pest control anywhere in the valley of the sun, give us a call at 480-984-2660. We are always here to help. You can look us up at www.ourbugguy.com . From ants, roaches, scorpions and termites to rats, bees and snakes. Critter Getter Pest Control will get your nuisance pests!!! Well, it's time for me to go. I have to go do some termite inspections. "Keep the sun block on" Critter OUT!

Snowbirds need pest control too!!!
Good morning, We are about a week into the new year now and things are going great! Most of the Snowbirds have arrived here and are enjoying this wonderful weather we are having. Last week we got a light dusting of snow and it made for some great photos! This week we are in the mid 70's and it is warm enough for bugs and critters to come out and play. It is a good idea to have pest control service when our temperatures are this mild. Pests will thrive when our weather is mild. If your home sits empty for half of the year, this allows pests to move in and set up shop. Having regular pest control will help eliminate these pesky critters and keep you and your home safe and pest free.
Not to much in the news today about pests or critters. A phony sighting of Bigfoot made the news but it was just a hoax. The link to the story is here. http://www.kpho.com/story/27773314/adots-bigfoot-post-makes-big-imprint-on-social-media If you need pest control in Mesa or pest control anywhere here in the valley, be sure to give us a call at 480-984-2660 or email us at info@ourbugguy.com or find us on the web at www.ourbugguy.com. Well I have to go do some bed bug and termite inspections. Be sure to "Keep the sunblock on" Have a great day!!! Critter OUT!

Wildlife in the Phoenix area
Sure, there is wildlife everywhere. Some of it is common everyday wildlife like, rabbits, birds, coyotes, raccoons, skunks and even the occasional bobcat. We have a lot of wildlife here in the Valley of the sun. Some you definitely don't expect to see except in a zoo. Last week we had a bear wonder into the Queen Creek and Mesa area. Odd but it has happened before. Yesterday authorities found a pair of zebras at a home North of Phoenix. Not only were there zebras but this property housed many animals that were not being cared for properly. A very sad situation! I love animals too but some people go way overboard!!! I hope all of these animals find good homes and are properly cared for. Hoarding animals or anything else can lead to pest issues and if it is extreme, it can create major pest issues!!! I can't imaging what the fly problem at this place was like? Here is the link to the story if you want to check it out. http://www.abc15.com/news/region-phoenix-metro/central-phoenix/mcso-investigating-zebras-other-animals-reportedly-involved-in-phoenix-animal-cruelty-situation
Well, I could go on and on about this situation but I won't. I have to run for now. Be sure to "Keep the sunblock on" Until next time..... Critter OUT!

Bobcats and Panthers are the pest of the day!
Well it is over for the Cardinals. The Carolina Panthers got the best of them this weekend. It is sad to see them out of the playoffs but that is just the way it goes! Well hopefully they can rest and heal and get ready for another shot at it next season. I also have heard rumors of Larry Fitzgerald not returning to the Cardinals next season. I hope this is not true but it is what it is! There was also a bobcat in the news this weekend. It was crossing the road in Scottsdale and got hit by a car. It got lodged in the grill area of the car and it took the AZ Game and Fish Dept. to remove it. It was taken to the Southwest wildlife rehab facility where it was examined and found no injuries or issues. It should be released back into the wild soon. here is a link to the story if you wanted to check it out. http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/scottsdale/2015/01/03/scottsdale-bobcat-car-grill-uninjured-arizona/21230387/

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Here we are.... in 2015 and almost 17 years later.....
Well here it is, January 2nd 2015. We are heading into our 17th year as a company and we have a positive outlook for the year ahead!!! We are a full service Pest, Termite, and Wildlife control company now. We acquired our termite license last summer and have been addressing termite issues in full force. The pests and wildlife have been keeping us very busy too!!! I hope to post a lot more blogs this year. As I don't think I posted any last year and only a few the year prior. Well the big story going into the holiday was this bear on the loose running around the Southeast Valley. As I returned to work after the new year, I see the Arizona Game and Fish Dept. caught it and returned it back to the wild. I am glad to see all ended well!!! The first bug story I heard for the year was a cockroach story. A local news station did a story about a guy renting a hotel room and it is full of roaches and the hotel management wasn't doing anything about it..... They should call Critter Getter Pest Control!!! I hear they are good at getting critters!!! Well, I am going to keep it short today. As I am just getting back into this blogging thing and don't want to over do it this early in the year. I am sure there will be a time when I may get a little long winded, but for now I will just say if you have any pest, termite or wildlife issues we are just a click or call away... 480-984-2660 or www.ourbugguy.com I like to finish with " keep the sunblock on" but today I think sunblock is not going to be really necessary. I think it's only going to be around 50 degrees today. Hope your 2015 is a GREAT ONE!!! Critter OUT!!!
